{"id":40767,"date":"2026-02-12T14:05:41","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T19:05:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nafr.dev.sparkadvocacy.dev\/branch\/nova-scotia-central\/branch-annual-meeting-agm-2025\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T16:08:39","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T21:08:39","slug":"branch-annual-meeting-agm-2025","status":"publish","type":"branch","link":"https:\/\/nafr.dev.sparkadvocacy.dev\/fr\/section\/nova-scotia-central\/branch-annual-meeting-agm-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Branch Annual Meeting (AGM) &#8211; 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nova Scotia Central Branch Annual Meeting Update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The annual general meeting (AGM) of the Nova Scotia Central Branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees was held at the Best Western Plus Dartmouth Hotel and Suites, Dartmouth, NS. on Apr 15, 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Joe Arsenault <span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\">welcomed all members and guests. <\/span><em><span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\">Anne Marie-Leger<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\">, the branch advocacy liaison officer presented the federal elections update to inform the ongoing work the branch is doing for the \u2018Canada Votes 2025\u2019 campaign.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\">The treasurer, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\">Paul McCabe <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\">presented the branch financial report for 2024 and the 2025 budget.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\">Laurie Morton<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size:12pt;line-height:16.639999px;\"> first vice president presented to the group an amendment to a section of the branch bylaws, relating to the appointment of the officers. The officers will now be appointed for a term of two years by the board within 14 days of the AGM.
